The Stinger Road Series is the guitar you take to the gig. No frills, no fragility — a solid alder S-type built to be played four nights a week and tracked on Monday, finished to the same standard as everything else that leaves the bench in Austin.

Three single-coils wound in our own shop, through a five-way blade give you the whole vocabulary this shape is known for: glassy and bell-like at the neck, hollow and percussive in the in-between positions, bright and cutting at the bridge. Two tone controls mean the bridge pickup gets its own, so the brightest position is the one you can actually tame. Want more weight behind it? Order it SSH and the bridge single-coil becomes a humbucker, with the neck and middle left alone.

The neck is bolt-on maple in a Modern C — the profile most hands already know — on a 25.5" scale with a 9.5" radius and 21 medium-jumbo frets. Comfortable for chords and forgiving for bends, which is the compromise a working guitar has to get right.

Built to order, right or left handed, at no extra cost either way.
